National Rail Operator workshop

National Rail Operator workshop Case Study

A National Rail operator contracted KRisk to facilitate a risk workshop following a fatality on their site.
The organisation needed to understand what the root causes on the incident were and work out corrective actions to improve the processes and asset design.

Also, they had to demonstrate to the Parliamentary select committee that they were taking a risk based approach to identifying the core issues and working towards a reasonable solution.

How did we do it?

There were many complex issues that needed to be discussed to understand the causes and effects. KRisk identified the right people in the organisation and brought them together to find the solutions.

This was done by a series of short workshops using a risk bowtie technique, among other risk and facilitation techniques.

Output

KRisk have years of experience leading incident investigations and facilitation workshops to get the best out of people to collaboratively work together to find the right action plans and ultimate sustainable solutions.
In this case a change in process was implemented and the set design was changed for the better.
