The Operations Director wanted to give back to his team to improve personal development and to understand them better to drive a more dynamic culture and improve wellbeing across the team. Ultimately this was to help individuals help themselves and drive team performance.
Each Operational Manager was supported with several coaching sessions based on the output of the Risk Discovery reports. Each session was confidential and the individuals agreed actions were confidential unless the individual wanted to share ideas.
The sessions brought great benefit to each person; one person realised they had been worried about issues inside and outside of the work environment and their self-esteem was low, others had issues understanding why their team members did things in particular ways that had annoyed them before.
Following the success of this project, further engagement was undertaken with the occupational health and safety team.
